Okuma

We went to Okuma to spend a few days for our Anniversary.

The view from our room.

Thursday we drove up to Cape Hedo, the northernmost tip of Okinawa.

While there Keegan spotted a few humpback whales migrating through, most were far off and we only saw them come out of hte water a couple times, but 1 was fairly close to the shore and the kids saw it blow. Thomas spotted this sea turtle. You will probably just have to take my word for it, not sure you can tell what it is. Braden is quick to remind us that he spotted school fish. Each time we have talked about it his story has changed a bit, for now he spotted school fish and a shark. I saw the school fish, not the shark.

The boys ate sweet potato ice cream from a little vendor there. I of course edited it to make the pic look as old as the building we were eating in probably was.

Happy Valentines Day

A better blogger I will be :)
Sorry folks, but I think facebook has taken over what little computer time I have and my blog isn't getting much attention. So you three or four people that check daily :( Sorry. I will do better though, promise!

We just got home from a 3 day stay at Okuma, I have blogged about it before. It was so nice to be able to relax. There were only 2 other families there so it was all nice and quiet. The weather was perfect too! Low 70's with a nice ocean breeze. I took a few pictures and will post them as son as I take them off the camera. The ocean is the most amazing color here, I wish I could describe it or capture it with my camera, but you really just have to see it for yourself. Beautiful.

The reason for our trip, was because Thursday was our Anniversary. We have been married for 9 years :) I have told Thomas when we hit 10 years i better get the wedding set I have always wanted. You have 363 days to save your pennies baby!

I will leave you with a funny story.
Friday morning we were eating breakfast at the restaurant on Okuma. A few more families had came in by then and there were probably 20 people eating aside from us. It is a small restaurant and you can hear each conversation.
So I ask Braden if he knows what tomorrow is (referring to Saturday, Valentines day)
He answers "You and Daddys Anniversary" I had talked to them about that on the actual day.
So I said "No, that was yesterday, tomorrow is Valentines" to which Braden responded by dropping his silverware, giving me the most absurd look and in a very loud and clear voice announcing "YESTERDAY WAS YOUR ANNIVERSARY AND YOU DIDN'T EVEN DO IT!?!?!"
While I am choking on my eggs Thomas calmly asks "Didn't do what?" Braden "I CAN"T BELIEVE YESTERDAY WAS YOUR ANNIVERSARY AND YOU DIDN'T EVEN DO IT!?" He was very serious and loud both times, almost sounding a little disappointed at the fact 'we didn't do it.'
So I finally regain my composure as the entire restaurant is looking at us now. "Braden, what were we suppose to do on our anniversary?"
"You were suppose to get married Mama!"

Whew, the last statement wasn't said nearly as loud as the others, so I am not certain our audience ever got what he was saying. We left the restaurants with red faces for sure!

Making Valentines

I have never been much into scrapbooking. I do however love making cards, and paper crafts for the kids at school. Last night we made Valentines for classmates.

I used vellum to make a 'sour cream container' Embossed a squiggly heart on the outside (thanks for the help with that Missy) filled it with Hersheys Hugs and Kisses and a little slip of paper that said "Hugs & Kisses from Keegan" or "Hugs & Kisses from Braden"
I think they turned out so darn cute and wanted to show them :)

Earlier yesterday I finally got around to trying the Pepsi White they sell here. I bought it awhile back, stuck it in the fridge and forgot about it. I'm glad I remembered it yesterday, it was good. Sorta had a creamy dreamsicle taste to it.
