After picking Keegan up from preschool when he was 3 or 4 years old, he got in the car and had this smirky smile on his face. When I asked him what was so funny, and he said, "Mrs. Maryann said 'fancy'" then he would explode into giggles. I asked him what was fancy he said her earrings. So for days, he would randomly say 'fancy' and burst into giggles again.
Last week, Thomas and I were talking and I said the word 'bonus'. Braden was watching TV and he overheard. "Bonus, what's a Bonus?" then starts giggling. So for a week now, when its nice and quite and I am certain they are having deep thoughts about their future. Braden goes "Bonus" and we all laugh. It is funny stuff, really.

New digs...
My blog has a new home...it moved from that crappy apartment in the ghetto to a nice relaxing beachside bungalow, thanks to Cutest Blog on the Block. You can move over too, it was quite simple, even within my capacity ;)

If you were standing outside my window...
15 minutes ago you would have heard this.
Keegan: Mom, how do you spell nipple?
Me: Ummm, why do you need to spell nipple?
Keegan: For my homework, I need to write words that start with 'N'.
Me: Keegan, do you know what a nipple is?
Keegan: Duh, the little brown dots on your face?
Me: No, those are freckles, a nipple is (I start whispering so Braden doesn't hear me, since he finds great humor in body parts and functions at this age) the brown part of your boob.
Keegan: Ooooh, ok
Me: laughing
Keegan: It's not funny, I don't make fun of you for not knowing all the Star Wars characters.
Ok, he got me there :)

Dear Easter Bunny,
Please come retrieve any candy still remaining in the house, and as a suggestion for next year, 1 piece per child is sufficient.
Love,
Their Mother

Happy 1st Birthday Dayton
I can't believe my baby is 1! Happy Birthday Dayton!! He was so funny, every time we sang Happy Birthday to him he would just smile.
Is she really letting me play in food like this?
I think this tastes pretty darn good.
Forget using my hands, so much quicker to just go face first.

St.Patricks Day
Monday was St.Patricks day, and to celebrate, we kept Keegan home from school and went to teh aquarium, where they have beach named Emerald Beach, and emerald is a shade of green...so it was all in the name of good ole' St.Pat.
Honestly, I forgot about St Patricks day until I was reading another blog....oops. Nothing green going on here. Although with the dollar being so weak against the yen, we sent more green than what I had hoped. With the current rate of 98 yen to 1 USD, it costs us about $20 more to get 10,000yen, which is how much we took, and spent Monday.
Oh well, it was all in the name of a good time, and that is what we had, a good time. Thomas was off work, and we hadn't seen much of him in a long time. So I let Keegan cut class, (don't tell Mr. Ishikawa) and we headed north. The weather wasnt all that awesome, so we didnt really know where we were going until we got there. Pineapple Park if it was raining, and the Aquarium if it wasn't. So, as you can see, we beat the rain.
After the aquarium we were all hungry. We had heard of a little place up there called Pizza in the sky. We had a few sets of sketchy directions, and thought, why not give it a shot. So, after driving up. up, up the narrowest windiest road ever, we finally located the gem. It is a pizza place (of course), but not the traditional type we are accustomed to. This one was in a house type building. You could eat indoors or outside. The dining area indoors was a large open area with the Japanese style tables and you sat on the floor, same for outside. We chose to sit outdoors, so I wouldn't feel so bad that my kids were the loudest there. The food was delicious and the staff were awesome. Our server played with Datyon the entire time, so it was nice for me to be able to eat most of a meal without having to tend to him. Oh, and look at the pics for the tiny chair they brought out for him. Isn't that just the cutest thing ever?

View from the park
Saturday the kids and I went out searching for new parks. We found two. The first one I didn't get any good pics as it was very muddy there. The second one however was beautiful. The kids however were muddy and to be honest, Dayton was asleep, so I enjoyed sitting in the shade with him while the boys ran around and did their thing.
You can click on the pictures to make them larger. Notice the white and brown buildings in the bottom of this picture. That is base housing. Not ours, another base, but its all the same here.
That's the East China Sea way off in the distance.
