Sleep Deprivation and Oprah

Procratinator...thats me. I had a liettle prject thingy due today and guess who was up until 2:30 am cutting out little paper stars? That would be me. Well, not cutting out stars at that hour. I think I finished that around 1:30 but then I started back reading Skinny Dip by Carl Hiassen. It was recommended to me, and has turned out to be quite a funny read. I literally laugh out loud each time I read it. Anywho, so at like midnight here Oprah comes on. I have never been a huge fan, but I do like most of her guests. So these people were on there talking about nice things they had made affordable. So that people like us, on the not-so-generous GI salary can afford to make our homes look like Martha whatever her name is. Then this guy comes on there. Cant remember his name. I think he played basketball for the New York Knicks. He had fashioned these sneakers that cost only a whopping $14.95 so now each and every adolescent can own a pair of cool shoes. Ok, thats cool. Thanks for putting your name on a piece of rubber and plastic and not charging what could easily be a mortgage payment for some. Then Oprah asks him how his life changed or how it affected others or some deep thoughted question like that (remember it's well past midnight now) The guy starts this ramble about how he has changed the world. He has felt peoples souls. Really? Over shoes?
The next TV show subjected to my sleep deprived crticism was Wheel of Fortune :) You know how at the beginning of the show they introduce themsleves. SO the last chick was some 40 yeah old looking typical American Mom. This is her intrduction (my version of it) "Hi, my name is Sandy. I am a homemaker. I have four children Amy, Sally, Jane and a son Jack who is Autistic, mentally challenged, and some other things I can't rememnber" Can you believe that?? The woman telling America about her children, sails right through the first three without any description, then at the last one adds on all of his disabilities. Does anyone else find that odd?
