It all started a few weeks ago, when Shannan started craving blackened Tilapia. Seriously wanting to head to head to Outback and order some while chatting with some of her long lost buddies that still work there.
Fast Forward to 10 am today....found what promised to be the most awesomest recipe for blackened Tilapia there ever was.
11am off to commissary to buy 5 bottles of spices to add to the 10 or so I already have to make some super duper spicy mix stuff to put on my tilapia
4pm get all my ingredients laid out, mix the spices, rub it on the tilapia, heat the skillet....
4:15pm dang that grease looks REALLY hot!
4:16pm, ohh crap a grease fire
4:16pm mind racing.....grease fire...smother it, dont use water, yell for the kids to get out of the house
4:17pm fire is gone, smoke in the house is so thick you cant see across the room
4:30pm I boil hotdogs
5pm nice fmaily dinner which consisted of hotdogs, doritos and kool-aid
9pm my house STILL smells like burned fish

I am sorry I forgot to tell you about my blog; I'm very glad you found it though! I am even more sorry about your grease fire! I am so glad you got it out before anything bad happened. I was reading one of your previous posts, and I have 2 recommendations regarding books to read. Summer Sisters by Judy Blume (one of my favorite books ever), and The Book of Bright Ideas by Sandra Kring. They are contemporary, some humor, more drama. They touch on some deep subjects (The Book of Bright Ideas more so), but I really enjoyed them. I will be checking out some of the books you mentioned. Thanks, I am always looking for a good read!
Well, it's a pet-based website. I haven't gotten all the kinks worked out yet. I have a program that I am using to write the website; I just need to learn how to use the program! =) How are the kids? I would really love to meet them! Okinawa looks beautiful; I was checking out pictures of it on the web. Maybe Trey and I can come there to visit before you guys leave.
