Tuesday morning we were able to attend an Okinawan playgroup. It was on the second floor of a preschool/daycare center. The Okinawans, as usual were so welcoming of us Americans with our loud, rambunctious children (wait, maybe that was just mine). The kids played for about a half hour, and we did our best to communicate with the other moms, using limited language on both sides, and lots of hand gestures. Later the sensei's (teachers) sang songs, and we were able to read a few books to them. I had brought a few to read, but by now it was too far into Daytons naptime and he was in meltdown mode. We did have a great time though, and I am so glad they were willing to have us join their group.
Babys gotta have the name tag. It was so cute to hear them say his name "Dei-Tahn"
