After being here for almost 2 years, I have finally broke down and bought a cell phone. I have enjoyed the past 2 years of not being attached to a phone, and being able to get away without someone calling. But, with Thomas leaving soon, I decided to get one for Emergency reasons. They are very expensive to use though, so it wont get much use. It is a cute phone though, if I only knew how to use it. I don't even know what my phone number is...

wow two years? I had no clue you guys have been there that long! How much Japanese do you speak?
When I was there everyone was texting texting texting, I finally asked Yumiko "why don't people just talk on the phone?" she said because it was too expensive to talk, the price per minute was crazy!
August will actually be 2 years, then we have until the next July before we move on to our next location. I will be so sad :(
I know enough to survive, lol. Keegan is in a Japanese Immersion class at school and his teacher speaks Japanese to them a good portion of the day now. When giving directions, that sort of thing. So I have learned alot through him. Other than that just the basics, please, thank you, good morning, afternoon, and night..colors and numbers.
The cell phones are expensive to use. It is priced in yen, but about .40 a minute. You have to pay a monthly fee, but that doesnt include any minutes. Very different form the US.
I know Ohio for good morning although I'm not sure that is how you spell it.
Arigato for thank you? And when they answer the phone it's something like mushy mushy LOL
Is Thomas making this a career?
